The holidays are filled with joy: decorating, baking, singing, and visiting with family and friends– it’s a time for celebration. But we all know that many times the season can also end up very overwhelming, especially when it comes to holiday gift-giving. Sewing can sometimes become more of a chore than a fun hobby as we stress about getting all our project plans done in time. When we move from quilting for fun to quilting with a purpose, it becomes extremely helpful to create a plan in order to meet all of our handmade holiday sewing project goals!

It’s August, the Sunday of the summer. Our long, sunny days are coming to an end as we prepare for back to school, dark evenings, and cold mornings. But for us quilters, it’s also the time to start our holiday quilting and sewing!

There’s no better way to enjoy a fireworks display than laying on a beautiful new quilt created from patriotic fabric just for the occasion! Jenny’s classic Stars and Stripes quilt is an absolute go-to for this time of year!

Hello June! We’ve made it to the sunniest season of the year here in Missouri, with longer days and warm nights filled with all of the simple magical moments that summer brings.

While we may be spending more of our days outside, we have lots of time set aside for quilting, including Jenny’s go-to wedding present, a picnic quilt! We’re such fans of the Charm Quilt on Point, and all it takes are two charms packs and a little bit of yardage!
